Driving back from Byron last week I decided to stop and shoot some photos of the Glass House Mountains from the top of Wild Horse Mountain. Nothing out of the usual except it was midday on a steamy 33 degree summers day… never the best conditions for photography. Not to be deterred I parked at the bottom, put 15kg’s of camera gear on my back and walked to the top. Normally a pretty easy walk straight up the hill, this day almost killed me. Not surprisingly I was the only one stupid enough to do it, I had it to myself while I had a drink, shot a few frames and walked back down. The light was kind of a strange soft skylight from the thin layer of clouds but I kinda liked it.
