This morning when I headed to Stumers Creek to shoot the sunrise I wasn’t expecting to get this shot. I originally wanted to get a shot of the creek mouth leading out to the sea but when I arrived there was a couple of other photographers already there so I looked for something else. I grabbed couple of photos of the low tide sand ripples reflection the sunrise, but I wasn’t super stoked. I looked around and noticed a perfect reflection of the trees behind me with a hint of colour from the sunrise. I liked this much better. I used a 2-stop graduated filter to bring down the sky a bit. I loved the colours of the tannin stained creek contracting with the greens and the pink of the sky. After a few minutes the wind picked up a little and the reflection was gone. Coffee time.
